This website is a working archive documenting more than three decades of artistic practice. It brings together paintings, performances, lectures, documents and research that investigate the relationships between history, politics, archives and representation.
Much of the work presented here was developed outside the conventional exhibition circuit—in lecture theatres, studios and Art Schools—before gradually finding its way into galleries and public collections. Rather than functioning as a portfolio, this archive traces the evolution of ideas, allowing projects made many years apart to be read in relation to one another.
“There is no document of civilisation which is not at the same time a document of barbarism.”
— Walter Benjamin
